Pricing Policy
The Meher Baba Film and Video Project is run on a non-profit basis. No wages are paid; phone and web-hosting costs are donated. A mark-up is added to the wholesale price to defray the cost of keeping stock and incidental expenses.
GST will not be collected as the turnover of sales is below the limit set by the Australian Taxation Office and there is no reasonable expectation of profit or gain from the activity undertaken. An ABN will not be quoted - if requested, a ‘statement by a supplier’ will be provided.
Returns Policy
Returns will be accepted only if the goods are defective - please choose carefully. Before purchasing a DVD, ensure it is compatible with your system. See below for further details.
NTSC
The colour TV system in Australia and New Zealand is PAL. If you wish to play DVDs made for the USA home market (most of the DVDs offered on this website are of this kind), both your player and television set need to be NTSC-compatible. Fortunately, most DVD players sold in Australia can play both PAL and NTSC formats, and most newer TVs are NTSC-compatible. So far, few people had problems, but the onus is on you to check your DVD player and TV manual.
Personal and Apple computers with a DVD drive can almost always play both PAL and NTSC discs.
DVD Regions
All DVDs sold through the Meher Baba Film and Video Project are region-free. They should be playable in all parts of the world, subject to the colour format mentioned above.
Copyright
All movies are copyrighted. Please support independent filmmakers; do not make unauthorised copies.
DVD Care
1. Handle discs by the outer edge or the centre hole. Never touch the surface with your fingers.
2. To remove disc from its case, press the “push” button on the centre hub and press downward. Using your other hand, gently remove disc by its outer edge without bending or twisting it.
3. Make sure the disc is properly seated in the tray before closing the door.
4. Avoid extremes of temperature and humidity.
5. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet light.
6. Keep discs in their original cases and store upright (book style) in a cool, dry, and dark environment.
7. Remove dirt, foreign material, fingerprints, smudges, and liquids by wiping with a clean cotton fabric in a straight line from the centre of the disc toward the outer edge. Do not use circular motions when cleaning. Avoid using anything that could scratch the surface.
